ELEMENTARY AND JUNIOR HIGH
Sunday School classes are taught by
trained teaching teams, every Sunday during worship hours. Children begin
worship in the Sanctuary with their parents or grandparents, and then recess to
Sunday School after the children’s sermon (about 15 minutes into the service).
Our children's curriculum for summer 2008 is "Silkworm Olympics"--a series of activities based on the Beijing Summer Olympics and Heifer Project International's Silkworm Project in Southern China. We have raised silkworms, made a giant silkworm mascot, learned about Chinese history, and more.
Beginning September 14, we will be using "Faith in Motion," a new curriculum which utilizes a series of seven sessions on a particular topic of imprtance to younger teenagers. The first quarter, September through November, our topic will be "Good Friends." We will investigate our relationships with frients and family in a Christian context. Younger children will be included and accomodated in our activities and discussions by our well-trained teachers.
In December, the kids will participate in a special Advent program.
